Mermaid: Before and After

I struggled most with the water in my first attempt, and am much happier with how I solved it the second go around. I also couldn't get the attractive female face for the mermaid in the earlier version. Overall I'm much happier with the new version.

Myth of the Mermaid

This is a redraw of an old illustration I did where I really enjoyed the concept but was never happy with the results. I wanted to completely redo it for the Art Order challenge. I'll post the comparison soon but for right now just the new one.

I finished my warrior piece just in time for the Spring Show submissions and it got in, phew.

Started another piece with kids having fun, this time on scooters.

I'm pretty much finished, I don't know how happy I am with the water, but overall I think I like it.

For some reason this popped in my head so I had to get it out. Most of it's still pretty rough.

Warrior WIP

A lot of changes to my warrior piece since I last showed it. It was pretty plain before, but I took out the large body at the bottom and made it a pile, and tried to add some depth with some characters in the background.

Water Guns Finish

I didn't change too much, basically just cleaned up the image and made it look a little more finished. Although, that always takes the longest for me so it feels like I changed a whole lot.
